Contact Peter StantonPeter has worked in a variety of backgrounds including the police service, medical business management, welfare, youth counselling, and pastoring a Presbyterian church. He has been registered as a psychologist since 1990, and has postgraduate degrees in psychology, business, counselling, family dispute resolution, theology and divinity.
Peter is experienced in a wide range of issues with people from various backgrounds, with specialities in:

anxiety and depression
complex trauma
issues around meaning and purpose
those seeking Christian Counselling within a biblical perspective
Peter has an therapeutic approach that utilises a modified cognitive behavioural approach, integrating aspects from a wide range of influences: including but not limited to, family of origin influences, interpersonal therapy, existential psychology, trauma informed approaches, and couple counselling insights.
He is committed to practicing within a framework and manner consistent with Biblical Christianity. He sees clients with a wide range of therapeutic issues in a non-discriminatory manner.
